A little bit about semantic markup, section 508-Accessibility, and Search Engine Optimization
- Semantic markup is defined as the HTML markup to reinforce the meaning of the information instead of just simply defining the look.
- Section 508-Accessibility is an amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973. It sets standards for all federal agency sites to be accessible by people with disabilities.
- Search Engine Optimization is reffered to as making sure a site appears high on the list of returned pages in order to maximixe the number of vistors to the page.
