A little bit about semantic markup, section 508-Accessibility, and Search Engine Optimization

• Semantic markup is defined as the HTML markup to reinforce the meaning of the information instead of just simply defining the look.
• Section 508-Accessibility is an amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973. It sets standards for all federal agency sites to be accessible by people with disabilities.
• Search Engine Optimization is reffered to as making sure a site appears high on the list of returned pages in order to maximixe the number of vistors to the page.

All of these are important for making sure that anyone is able to see your website and that anyone can get to your website. This is key for maximizing the numebr of vistors to your website and web pages.
