What is a Tablet?


Tablets are portable computer with a touchscreen or pencil touch interface. When it comes to tablets, it is important to understand the basics that it is bigger than a smartphone but smaller than a laptop, and has gained a lot of support over the past few years. And now popular companies, such as Apple, Samsung, and many more are starting to invest more into tablets and pads. Some popular uses for Tablets and Pads are: Streaming videos, chatting with friends and families, viewing presentations for business, and sharing photos and more. A tablet can come in many sizes and form. Some examples are Covertible Tablets, Hybrid Tablets, and a Rugged Tablets.

  • Convertible Tablets are tablets that have a display
    180 degrees and can be folded to close, screen up, and can intergrate an
    hardware keyboard to the tablet. This model can allow users with many varities of inputs, such as hardware keyboard, finger tapping, and digital pen.
  • Hybrid Tablets are sometimes referred like a covertible tablet or a hybrid laptop. However, hyrid tablets has a removable display that functions independently as a slate.
  • Rugged Tablets are slate-like model that is designed to withstand rough handling and extremem conditions. They usually have a thick protective casing and have shock asorbment hard drives.
