The NBA is set to return. They're currently finalizing the details with the
players association. While many fans, myself included, are primed for the their
return to the court. However, some players within the league are against the
return of the NBA season because of the current social climate within United
States and the dangers of getting Covid-19. The NBA executives have factored in
those variables into the return of the NBA season. Sadly, some are still not
pleased.
The NFL is moving foward with their 2020-21 Season. Yet, most teams cannot
conduct their off season program and have not conducted team practices in yet.
Until team facilaties offically open to hold practices, the NFL season hangs in
the balance. Owners and city officals are working hard to get teams on the
field.
In conclusion, sport leagues are working hard to return to field or court.
Players' organization and league officals/executives must continue to work
together to play again. Fans must accept that games would be played with empty
crowds, but that is one of the small sacrifices that we must make in order to
move foward.

Hope is the thing with feathers
~by Emily Dickinson
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And signs tthe tune without the words
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

The Problem with Being Karen
~by Chelsea Owens
Karen hadn't asked to be named Karen. She hadn't asked to be dressed in modest
dresses, always with tighs and shoes. She certainly hadn't asked for her
parents to use the sort of psychological conditioning that led to so many
people saying, "Butt out, Karen!"
Once Mom and Dad passed away, Karen decided she'd finally do something about
all the negative comments. She colored her hair, bought a pair of honest-to-
goodness jeans, and changed her name to Kathy.
Upon leaving the Social Security Adminstration, she spied a couple arguing
heatedly about what their married last name ought to be. Kathy couldn't stand
to see and hear such animosity between two people in love, and walked toward
them. Before she could even open her mouth, however, the woman turned to her
and said, "Butt out, Karen!"
