What Technology do Cell Phones use?

Back in the 1980’s most cell phone used analog signal. It was
basically radio signal, which only allowed signals to travel in
short distance. However, a huge progress was made during the
1990’s. A new wireless licenses were auctioned off, and the newly
licensed carriers built out their systems using digital technology.
Two basic technologies in mobile phones are CDMA nad GSMA. CSMA
stands for code division multiple access and GSMA stands for
Global Systems for Mobiles. Some carriers that use CDMA are Sprint
and Verizon, whereas t-mobile uses GSM.

There are obviously pro’s and con’s for both CDMA and GSM.
With a GSM network it is easier to swap phones as all customer
information are in removable SIM card. If an Individual wants to
get a new phone, you simply take the card out and put it in a
different phone, and your phone number will be transferred.Whereas,
CDMA carriers use network based white lists for their subscribers.
Overall, it is still possible to switch from CDMA and GSM if the
user chooses to.

The Current ranking for best phone companies are: Verizon, At&t,
T-Mobile, and Sprint.

Verizon is known as one of the most dependable and expansive
network provider nationwide. It has up to 81 percent 4G coverage.
Verizon Offers two types of plans that costs 80 dollards and 90

At&t is ranked number two in terms of coverage and plan in
the United States. Since At&t is one of the big four cell phone
