Semantic Markup

Semantic markup is a use of a markup language to show information of each element in the document that is written in HTML language. It provides information in web pages and web applications rather merely to define its presentation or look. If a text is meant to be a heading, there is a semantic tag to create a heading, paragraph, lists, etc. Among some of the most useful, but probably underutilized tags, are the lists:

    i. Unorderd list,
    ii. Ordered list, and
    iii. Defination list

Section 508 - Accessibility

According to the section 508, an amendment to the United States Workforce Rehabilition Act of 1973, is a federal law mandating that all electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the federal government be assessable to people with the disabilities. A Technology should be accessible to all people including disabilities as long as the technology is used as efficiently and being under the policies of aggrements. So, uses of correct format of sematic markup languages in web pages will help disabilities to view the context of the web sites.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO is a process of credibility your webpage earned naturally as per the structure of your page. SEO may target different kind of search, including image searh, video search, academic search, news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. The higher the ranked on the search result list, the more visitors will receive from the search engine's users. Recently, mobile search has surpassed desktop search this is why Google is developing and promoting mobile search as a key feature of future products.
