History of Social Media
One of the first instances of social media was when Samuel Morse send a telegraph from Washington D.C. to Baltimore in 1844. A couple of years later in 1997, a website called Six Degrees had about 1 million members who were able to create profiles and 'friend' each other. In 2003 LinkedIn was created and gave users a place to post their resume and private message people with a business-oriented mind. Facebook was launched in 2004 and after a few years social media evolved to what we know now.
