INFO300 Hands On Linux Project • 9:30 Section:

The progress report and compliance with specs are updated at one second past every minute. They were last updated 2018-04-13 07:36:01. Logs for bash and sftp history are updated every ten minutes.

A good looking progress report will have no red marks for components on their due date. Due dates and other specs are posted on the class' web page. The lack of red marks does not necessariy mean that all specs for the project have been met.

See Notes about Names and Permissions for Parts 1, 2, & 3 after the Progress Report...

Everyone my age remembers where they were and what they were doing when
they first heard about the contest. I was sitting in my hideout watching
cartoons when the news bulleting broke in on my video feed, announcing that
James Halliday had died during the night.

I'd heard of Halliday, of course. Everyone had. He was the videogame
designer responsible for creating the Oasis, a massively multiplayer online
game that had gradually evolved into the globally networked virtual reality
most of humanity now used on a daily basis. The unprecedented success of
the OASIS had made Halliday one of the wealthiest people in the world.

At first, I couldn't understand why the media was making such a big deal of
the billionaire's death. After all, the people of Planet Earth had other
concerns. The ongoing energy crisis. Catastrophic climate change.
Widespread damine, poverty, and disease. Half a dozen wars. You know: "dogs
and cats living together... mass hysteria!" Normally, the newsfeeds didn't
interrupt everyone's interactive sitcoms and soap operas unless something
really major had happened. Like the outbreak of some new killer virus, or
another major city vanishing in a mushroom cloud. Big stuff like that. As
famous as he was, Halliday's death should have warranted only a brief
segment on the evening news, so the unwashed masses could shake their heads
in envy when the newscasters announced the obscenely large amount of money
that would be doled out to the rich man's heirs.

The Wine Spectator reports that while the U.S. exported around $80 million
worth of wine to China last year, that was dwarfed by France, Australia and
Chile, the latter two having free-trade agreements with Beijing "which put
them at a significant advantage."

"Current Chinese customs duties for U.S. wines are 14 percent - the new
tariffs increase that to 29 percent. Wines from Australia and Chile are
charged customs duties of 0 percent. According to [the Wine Institute's
Asia Director Christopher] Beros, these countries "have relied heavily on
exports for many years for their entire industries [and] have been
aggressively marketing in China," the Wine Spectator writes.

"if U.S. wines are subjected to higher tariffs when imported into China,
that would have a direct benefit to other suppliers into that rapidly
growing market, especially France and Australia - the two largest suppliers
of premium wines to China," Kym Anderson, a professor of economics at the
University of Adelaide in Australia and also executive director of the
university's Wine Economics Research Center tells CNBC.

Managed Services:

This refers to the ability for the customer to call in to their
data center to make changes to theri network; a card may need to be
replaced in a piece of equipment, a servere may need to be rebooted, or
power may need to be reset, to give some examples.

Location:

Where geographically is the data center located? Customers may be
concerned about the location being a secure place where natural disasters,
such as earthquakes or violent storms, are less of a threat. A more
important consideration than close proximity, which can be convienient, is
geographic redundancy and diversity. The real value of a data center is
having a significant enough distance away from the office so that any
disaster won't impact both the customer's location and the data center.

Power:

Data centers have an enormous amount of equipment that draws a
significant amount of power, but will also typically be equipped with
diesel back-up generators. If there is a power outage at the data center,
a diesel power generator will kick in that can be run continuously as long
as they have a fuel source. Diesel power generators are an advantae that
would be extremely expensive and not a practical solution for customers to
put into place themselves. The type of power used also drives the price. If
a customer has a dedicated rack or cage at a data center, two sources of
power may delivered to it, so that if one fails, the other can take over.

By all accounts, Michael "Imaqtpie" Santana is living every esports
professional's dream. He may have retired from pro-level League of Legends play
in 2014, but his Twitch stream has 1.6 million followers and pulls an average
of 30,000 concurrent viewers, while his youtube channel has more than a million
subscribers. According to Santana's management company Every Influencers, this
huge collective audience generates $2 million a year in a earnings for him, and
that's before you factor in any sponsorship money. This is the type of success
that others in the scene can hardly fathom: after last year's TwitchCon,
Santana's former teammate William "Scarra" Li says Santana treated him and a
group of close friends to the nicest meal he's ever had, complete with gold
plated dishes and a per-person tab that Li guesses had to have run at least
$300.

All of this money is made from the comfort of Santana's living room PC, where
he plays League for 10 hours a day in his trademark outfit: gym shorts and
a white t-shirt. The casual look and Santana's long, shiny mane are key to his
broad appeal, but if you watch his stream, it's easy to see the other areas
where he stands out. Unlike other pros who simply regurgitate memes to sound
funny, Santana works them like clay, whether he's spitting Kanye inspired "I
miss the old QT" bars in the middle of a game, or welcoming a new subscriber
into what he calls "The Big Dick Club." That he's legitimately funny is already
enough to set Santana apart from the crowd, but on top of that, he's got a very
particular taste in music, ditching the royalty-free EDM that other League
streamers default to in favor of top-shelf rap from artists like Pusha T,
Migos, and A$AP Rocky. He's laid back, he doesn't get too salty on stream, and
he's really damn good at league of legends.

at 25-years old, those qualities have earned Santana much in the way of
conventional success: a gorgeous house in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he
lives with his long-time partner and fiancee Lisha Wei and their three pets,
Smallcat, Mellowcat, and Dapperdog. But for all that success, Santana sounds
restless, even hungry, when I ask him about the future. "Sometimes I wish that
I could play in the LCS and play some competitive games... I miss that a lot.
Who knows. Maybe one day, I'll try to return to it, but for the foreseeable
future, I don't see it happening.

Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder and chief executive of Facebook,
faced a much together crowd on the House side of Capitol Hill in his
second day of congressional testimony.

Over the two days, there were nearly 10 hours of hearings, during which
almost 100 lawmakers grilled Mr.Zuckerberg.

While Tuesday's Senate hearing contained tough questions, the lawmakers
were generally deferential to the executive. That was less the case in the
House, where lawmakers repeatedly interrupted Mr.Zuckerberg and chided him
for not answering questions to their satisfaction.

Lawmakers on both side of the aisle on Wednesday pushed Mr.Zuckerberg on
his company's handling of user data. They were particularly focused on the
platform's privacy settings, which put the onus on users to protect their
privacy.

While it is "mobile phone" in British English, it is "cell phone" in American
English. The term "cell phone" short for "cellular phone" came into the
day-to-day American English vocabulary during the 1980s when the mobile phone
companies had to distinguish their mobile phone that can be carried from one
cell to another, each controlled by a land-based antenna, from the earlier
Improed Mobile Telephone Service phones. In Wikipedia, "mobile phone" is more
often used because it can be used across various technologies.

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the deal and said the rams had
discussed a Cooks trade prior to their recent conversations with the Gian

circled back to the Patriots and snagged Cooks, 24, clearly due to the Giants
asking price for Beckham and the long-term contract extension Beckham is
seeking, reportedly at $20 million per year.
Cooks like Beckham, 25, is entering the fifth and final year of his
rookie contract, but he will not command OBJ-level money. Plus, while the
Giants initial asking price in Beckham talks was a "first-round plus," as
the Daily News first reported, such a low first-round pick plus only a sixth
was not going to get it done.

To this point, you can bet that Simmons jumper, or lack thereof, is
going to be a big problem at some point in these playoffs. It may be too
much to overcome, frankly. Consider this: the Sixers rank as the second-worst
fourth quarter offense in the league, only better than the Grizzlies, who
hardley register as an actual NBA team most nights.
Simmons not being able to shoot from anywhere outside 10 feet is the
kind of thing that can decide the two or three possesions that ultimately
decide a close game. That said, the Sixers front office has done an incredible
job of surronding Simmons with shooters to offset this glaring hole in his
game.
So that's another one on one weapon for the Sixers that could, if
only for a few crucial possesions, carry them through the rough stretches
of simmons being bogged down in half-court.

born long before either of us.

Virginia Commonwealth University. I am pursuing a Bachelor's
degree in Infomation Systems. I planned to graduate by May
2019. I transferred from J. Sargeant Reynolds. I pursued my
Associates degree in Business Administration. The things I
want to do with my education is to fine a job in the IT field.
So far Information Systems is the best major for me. Even
though this major can be challenging at times. But I know I
can get through it and make it successful for me in the future.
I love working with computers.

I have two older brothers and one of them is my twin.
So that makes me the baby of the family. My twin name is Alex.
I know what you are thinking..... "OMG, that is so cool your
name is Alexandria and his name is Alex. That's so cool!!!!"
Yes, it is cool in fact. At school I go by either Alex or
Alexandria either way works with me. But at home I go by my
middle name.

My hobbies are wathcing Netflix, hanging out with friends,
and going to the movies. On my spare time whren I am not studying
or doing homework, I am trying to catch up on Netflix shows and
movies. I love watching new shows. I pretty much would watch
anything that looks interesting. Also, I love hanging out with
friends. It is an enjoy going out and laugh and joke around with
my friends. I also love making new friends. Meeting new people is
always interesting.

The Benefits Of Exercise

All my life I've been extra large, plus
I'm known as a very large fellow.
I would easily pass as a school district bus
If somebody painted me yellow.

"No secret to losing weight," I've been told.
"Just cut the fat from your diet."
"Get up and about even if it's cold."
Once again, I decided to try it.

But jogging was something senseless to me,
And riding a bike seemed insane.
Joining a gym involved a large fee,
And lifting weights was a pain.

So for exercise I choose horseback riding.
It's fun and easier than it sounds.
It's a very effective form of dieting
'Cause my horse lost forty pounds.

Cyber security is the practice of ensuring the integrity,
confidentiality and availability of information. It represents the ability
to defend against and recover from accidents like hard drive failures or
power outages, and from attacks by adversaries. The latter includes
everyone from script kiddies to hackers and criminal groups capable of
executing advanced persistent threats, and they pose serious threats to
the enterprise.
Security should be top of mind across the enterprise, and come
come with a mandate from senior management. The fragility of the
information world we now live in also demands strong cyber security
standards and that employees are properly trained. All code, for example,
has bugs, and some of those bugs are security flaws. Develops are only
human, after all.
All companies will experience some kind of cyber attack, even if
strong controls are in place. An attacker will always exploit the weakest
link, and many attacks are easily preventable by performing basic security
tasks, sometimes referred to as "cyber hygiene." A surgeon would never
eneter an operating room without washing their hands first. Likewise, an
enterprise has a duty to perform the basic elements of cyber security care
such as maintaining strong authentication practices and not storing
sensitive data where it is openly accesible.

Bitcoin is a new currency that was created in 2009 by an unknown
person using the alias Satoshi Nakamoto. Transactions are made with no
middle men - meaning, no banks! Bitcoin can be used to book hotels on
Expedia, shop for furniture on Overstock and buy Xbox games. But much of
the hype is about getting rich by traading it. The price of bitcoin
skyrocketed into the thousands in 2017.
Bitcoins can be used to buy merchandise anonymously. In addition,
international payments are easy and cheap because bitcoins are not tied
to any country or subject to regulation. Small businesses may like them
because there are no credit card fees. Some people just buy bitcoins as an
investment, hoping they'll go up in value.
Many marketplaces called "bitcoin exchanges" allow people to buy
or sell bitcoins using different currencies. Coinbase is a leading
exchange, along with Bitstamp and Bitfinex. But security can be a concern:
bicoins worth tens of millions of dollars were stolen from Bitfinex when
it was hacked in 2016.

File3:

The images you see on your monitor are made of tiny dots called
pixels. At most common resolution settings, a screen displays over a
million pixels, and the computer has to decide what to do with everyone in
order to create an image. To do this, it needs a translator -- something
to take binary data from CPU and turn it into a picture you can see.
Unless a computer has graphics capability built into the motherboard,
that translation takes place on the graphics card.
A graphics card's job is complex, but its principles and
components are easy to understand. In this article, we will look at the
basic parts of a video card and what they do. We'll also examine the
factors that work together to make a fast, efficient graphics card.
Think of a computer as a company with its own art department.
When people in the company want a piece of artwork, they send a request to
the art department. The art department decides how to create the image
and then puts it on paper. The end result is that someone's idea becomes
an actual, viewable picture. Similarily, a graphics card works along the
same principles. The CPU, working in conjunction with software
applications, sends information about the image to the graphics card. The
graphics card decides how to use the pixels on the screen to create the
image. It then sends that information to the monitor through cable.

Internet Service Providers give clients access to the INternet
through telephone connections as well as permenant connections.
I will give you a brief history report on how ISP's were created
and centralized

Here is a brief summary of the history and development of ISP's
Before there were ISP's the internet required some type of account
from a unniversity or goverment institution and prior knowledge of Unix.
Starting in the early 1990's the Internet allowed commercial traffic.
There were four centralized access points located in D.C, San Franciso
New Jerser and Chicago. There access points were controlled by World Com,
Pacific Bell, SPrint and Ameritech.

As the traffic grew the access points became highly trafficed.
Therefore, more of the major telecommunication companies began building
their own faster Internet Service.

File3:

Interesting Facts about ISP's

in the late 1990's there were up to 10,0000 ISP's around the world but
they were mostly locally serviced and relied on access to regional and
national ISP's for wider connectivity. At the time one of the bigger
companies that smaller ISPs relied on was America Online (AOL)

AOl had origanlly started as a dial-up information service with no
internet connectivity, but made a later transition later on in the 90's.
It became one of the larger service providers which acclamated up to
more than 25 million subscribers and branced off overseas into Australia,
South America, Europe and even Asia. While this was all going on overseas
different countries where first experiencing locally owned ISP's
from back in the states.

Now ISPs brand and offer different leves of service for their clients for
better connectivity speeds such as download and upload times. Other
different relevant events such as net neutrality has also been brought
up as to what ISPS will embrace for their customers and who wont use it.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them reall about the same,

And both that norning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
If I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The Key to LeBron James' free agency was right there
on his Nike Sneaker on Sunday night. You had to get
past the out-of-place pink tone that fit neither
Cleveland Cavaliers colors scheme nor the Lakers'
purple-and-gold that shone so bright in their 127-113 win.
Ditto for the name of this particular model of the LeBron
15s "Hollywood", with a release date that just so happened
to coincide with James' only visit to the Staples Center to
face this Lakers team that he might consider joining when
July 1 rolls around.

But once you learn what the inscription on the side of the
sole means - "RWTW," as in "Roll With the Winners" - then
you start to understand why these next few months are so
crucial for the Cavs. Put simply, they're not worthy of
being deemed winners at the moment. At least not the type
that might compel James to stay put.

The loss to the Lakers was their seventh in the 15 games
since first-year general manager Koby Altman overhauled
the roster at the Feb. 8 trade deadline, and all it took
was one glance at James' frustrated face midway through
the fourth quarter to get a sense of the Cavs' quandary
right now. On one side, there was former Cavalier Isaiah
Thomas stealing the ball from James and finding Julius
Randle for a dunk that pushed the Lakers' lead to 21
points. And there was James, just a few feet behind
Randle as he hung on the rim with so much delight,
palming the ball after the whistle was blown and
looking like he was about to throw a 100-mph
fastball toward his associates who were sitting
courtside.

Black Panther, the most recent entry into the
Marvel cinematic universe, has been greeted with
the breathless anticipation that its arrival will
Change Things. The movie features the leader of a
fictional African country who has enough wealth
to make Warren Buffet feel like a financial piker
and enough technological capacity to rival advanced
alien races. The change that the movie supposedly
heralds is black empowerment to effectively challenge
racist narratives. This is a tall order, especially
in the time of Trump, who insists that blacks live in
hell and wishes that (black)sons of bitches would get
fired for protesting police violence. Which makes it
a real shame Black Panther,a movie unique for its
black star power and its many thoughtful portrayals
of strong black women, depends on a shocking devaluation
of black American men.

Wakanda is a fictional nation in Africa, a marvel beyond
all marvels. Its stupendous wealth and technological
advancement reaches beyond anything the folks in MIT's
labs could dream of. The source of all this wonder is
vibranium, a substance miraculous in ways that the movie
does not bother to explain. But so far as we understand,
it is a potent energy source as well as an unmatched raw
material.A meteor rich in vibranium, which crashed ages
ago into the land that would become Wakanda, made Wakanda
so powerful that the terrors of colonialism and imperialism
passed it by. Using technology to bide its good fortune, the
country plays the part of a poor, third-world African nation.
In reality, it thrives, and its isolationist poloicies protect
it from anti-black racism. The Wakandans understand events in
the outside world and know that they are spared. This triumphant
lore-the vibranium and the Wakandans' secret history and superiority-
are more than imaginative window-dressing. They go to heart of the
mistaken perception that Black Panther is a movie about black
liberation.

In Black Panther, T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman)has risen to the throne
of Wakanda. We know that his father, T'Chaka, the previous king,
died in a bomb attack. T'Challa worships his father for being
wise and good and wants to walk in his footsteps. But a
heartbreaking revelation will sorely challenge T'Challa's
idealized image of his father.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace for Real Madrid,
including an absolutely ridiculous bicycle kick
goal in the second half, and the Spanish giants ran
out 3-0 winners over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium
in Turin to take complete control of their Champions
League quarterfinal tie.

Ronaldo scored his first just three minutes into the match
thanks to a complete breakdown by Juventus' defense, who
double-marked Karim Benzema despite him moving away from
goal while Ronaldo darted up to get on the end of a fantastic
pass from Isco. Madrid threatened to score a second with the
wind temporarily taken out of Juventus' sails, but the Italians
eventually stabalized themselves and actually controlled the match
from about the 15 minute mark until just after halftime.

But as the match approached the hour mark, Madrid started to
assert themselves once more. Not saisfied with just a single
away goal, they started hunting for a second, steadily applying
more and more pressure on Juventus' defense until miscue between
Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgi Chiellini helped set up Ronaldo to do
this:

Fallout 4:

Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic action role-playing video game developed by
Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth
major installment in the Fallout series, and was released worldwide on
November 10, 2015, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The
game is set within an open world post-apocalyptic environment that
encompasses the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region
known as "The Commonwealth". The main story takes place in the year 2287,
ten years after the events of Fallout 3 and 210 years after "The Great
War", which caused catastrophic nuclear devastation across the United
States.

The player assumes control of a character referred to as the "Sole
Survivor", who emerges from a long-term cryogenic stasis in Vault 111, an
underground nuclear fallout shelter. After witnessing the murder of their
spouse and kidnapping of their son, the Sole Survivor ventures out into the
Commonwealth to search for their missing child. The player will
subsequently explore the game's dilapidated world, complete various quests,
help out factions, and acquire experience points to level up and increase
the abilities of their character. New features to the series include the
ability to develop and manage settlements, and an extensive crafting system
where materials scavenged from the environment can be used to craft drugs
and explosives, upgrade weapons and armor, and construct, furnish and
improve settlements. Fallout 4 also marks the first game in the series to
feature full voice acting for the protagonist.

Skyrim:

Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed
by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the
fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder
Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows,
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.

The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest
to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the
world. The game is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and
takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the
game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving
skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by
allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and
to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

Skyrim was developed using the Creation Engine, rebuilt specifically for
the game. The team opted for a unique and more diverse game world than
Oblivion's Imperial Province of Cyrodiil, which game director and executive
producer Todd Howard considered less interesting by comparison. The game
was released to critical acclaim, with reviewers particularly mentioning
the character development and setting, and is considered to be one of the
greatest video games of all time. However, it nonetheless received some
criticism, particularly for its numerous technical issues present at
launch. The game shipped over seven million copies to retailers within the
first week of its release, and sold over 30 million copies across all
platforms.

Fortnite:

A co-op sandbox survival game developed by Epic Games and People Can
Fly and published by Epic Games. The game was released as a paid-for early
access title for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on
July 25, 2017, with a full free-to-play release expected in 2018. The
retail versions of the game were published by Gearbox Publishing, while
online distribution of the PC versions is handled by Epic's launcher.
Fortnite is set in contemporary Earth, where the sudden appearance of a
worldwide storm causes 98% of the world's population to disappear, and
zombie-like creatures rise to attack the remainder. Considered by Epic as a
cross between Minecraft and Left 4 Dead, Fortnite has up to four players
cooperating on various missions on randomly-generated maps to collect
resources, build fortifications around defensive objectives that are meant
to help fight the storm and protect survivors, and construct weapons and
traps to engage in combat with waves of these creatures that attempt to
destroy the objectives. Players gain rewards through these missions to
improve their hero characters, support teams, and arsenal of weapon and
trap schematics to be able to take on more difficult missions. The game is
supported through microtransactions to purchase in-game currency that can
be used towards these upgrades.

A standalone mode, Fortnite Battle Royale, based on the battle royale game
genre but based on the core Fortnite gameplay, was released for the same
platforms in September 2017.

On July 26, 2017, it was announced that Fortnite had sold over 500,000
digital pre-order copies. On August 18, 2017, Epic confirmed that Fortnite
had surpassed over a million players.

Driverleiss cars could become a regular feature of the roads as
early a April, at least in California.Arizona has already become a fair
weather center for testing driverless vehicles. Uber announced last week
that it has finished testing its self-driving trucks in Arizona and is now
beginning to use them to move goods across the state. It is not just the
United States either. The British government launched a review last week
of laws governing self-driving vehicles, with the aim of getting
autonomous cars on throad in three years. This type of advanced
technology is going to change the future of life.

This is clearly a big step for the technology and automotive
industries. No suprise that the companies are woriking on driverless
vehicles include Google, Uber, and Audi. The advent of human less driving
could also redirect the traffic of our days, how we live our lives and
get around. Perhaps somewhat less obiously, a future filled with
autonomous vehicles could also spur big changes. This will also affect
the real estate market in addition to transportation and technolgy
industries. The companies working on this will benefit alot.

One question worth considering is what the proliferation of
autonomous cars could mean for public transportation. The proximity of
office and residential buildings to public transit hubs has traditionally
benn seen as adding value to the property by making commuting easy, a
phenomenon that would seem to higher due to the low car ownership rates
of millenials. Sections of the United States that have seen real estate
development near new rail systems or train stations include Texas,
Missouri, and Illinois.

life and always continues to push forward. His drive makes me want to be
so much like him.

I have always have had a liking towards computers and networks.
One day I would like to be in the field of computer programming or
network security. I will hopefully be graduating in the spring of next

for you. The company has just released its new version of IOS. It is the
third major update for IOS eleven since it was released last summer.
Owners of older devices can now disable a feature that slows down their

older batteries.

The new battery health option are now located in Setting, Battery,

battery, including its maximum capacity and peak performance. It will
tell you if the battery needs to be replaced. Turning of the performance
management feature may make your phone feel zippier, but could also
result in turing of your device unexpectedly. This feature should give
new users the feel of having more control while using their phone. Now
replacement batteries are cheaper.

When you first install the new update, you are greeted with a
landing page about its new Data and Privacy feature that states "Apple
believes privacy is a fundamental human right." When you open Apple apps,
there will be a small Data and privacy icon that looks like two people
are shaking hands with each other. Click and you can see a rundown of
all the data you are sending back to Apple and what the company needs for it.
The privacy feature was announced in January, months befor Facebook's data

My two favorite species of mangos are kent and haden. They are unique
with their soft textures and out of the world sweet nectar taste. Before
I left for the United States, I ate a bowl of mango. My favorite cake is
mango mousse cake. To make the delicious cake you will first need to
prepare the sponge cake layer. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large
square pan with parchment paper. Places the eggs and sugar in a stand
mixer bowl. Whisk the eggs and sugar for 8 to 10 minutes until the mixture
is white in color, very voluminous and ribbons off your spatula. Add the
vanilla extract and mix for 30 seconds.

In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour and
baking powder. Using a fine mesh sifter, sift the dry ingredients into
the eggs in very small batches. Fold dry ingredients into the eggs gently
but thoroughly, scraping from the bottom of the bowl to ensure all the
flour is incorporated. Next, we will transfer the cake batter into the
prepared pan with the parchment paper. How exciting!

Transfer the mango juice into the dispenser bottle or use a
pastry brush, and soak the cake layer with the mango juice; set aside.
Now we will prepare the mango mousse. Place the heavy cream and sugar in
a mixer bowl and whisk until soft peaks form. Add the vanilla and the
soft whipped cream cheese. Whisk on high speed until the mixture is
smooth and fluffy. Place in refrigator until ready to use.

The Nike Lebron Soldier 11 performance review is here. How do
they stack up to last year's Solider 10? Only one way to find out.
One of the easiest things to get right on a shoe, yet so many seem to get
it wrong. While the traction on the Nike LeBron Solider 11 isn't bad, it
isnt as good as it should be. It was only bad in one single spot under
the ball of the foot. For whatever reason, when I'd plant in that section
while changing direction or curling around a screen I'd slip a bit,
causing a delay in my movement, whcih in turn caused me to second guess
even making the same move again.

I witnessed LeBron slip in the exact same manner I slipped.
I don't think playing in a solid rubber-soled version of the shoe will
change the performance. Surprisingly enough, the translucent outsole of
the Solider 11 performed well overall. It was just that one single spot
on the outsole that wasn't that great. This might be a case where the
pattern has failed in that area rather than blaming it solely on the
rubber compound this time around. The cushion of the shoe is same as the
one that was present last year. I personally experienced the shoe heating
up very quickly when ever I played for more than an hour. My peers have
experienced the same.

The LeBron 11s fit true to size. The first time I put them on, it
took around 10 minutes. After two weeks of use, the fit is still very
snug. Very strong secure fit, which the 4 straps compliment. The forefoot
strap is my favorite and I'm glad it was included. Once broken in, it was
hard to find any flaws to these brilliant shoes... except the once
in a blue moon slipping issue. If you're wide footed, then definitely try
these on before purchasing them... they are extremely snug. Great support
and great materials is what made the shoe a best seller.

After Michigan's governor announced the state will stop providing
free bottled water to residents to Flint - afflicted four years ago by
lead-tainted drinking water-churches and charities said Monday they're
bracing for a surge in people seeking help. Normally we give out whatever
a family wants, said Bill Qurles, a deacon of the First Trinity Missionary
Baptist Church. But now we may have to limit that until more supplies come
in. The church has been handing out bottled water for the past three years
and typically sees about 100 to 200 cars a week.

With fewer resources for residents, First Trinity isn't sure what
to expect when the cars come through beginning Tuesday. Much needed
donations from Fort Wayne Indiana, and Baltimore, Maryland, aren't
expected at the church until the weekend and contributions have already
been dwindling as water crisis no longer grabs daily headlines. The country
thinks that the water is fine, Quarles added, but theresidents and the
city of Flint do not trust what's being said.

The states decision to close the four remaining bottled water
stations comes as Gov. Rick Snyder said Friday that strides have been
made to reverse the high levels of lead that were found in the water
supply. The city's water has tested below the federal lead and copper
limit of 15 parts per billions (ppb) for about two years, state officals
said. Levels of 4 ppb were recorded in Flint during the first three months
of 2018.

It has come to my attention that fynds are low, and the cost for
building a new business in today's society is far too difficult to stablize
and compete financially. With a competitive market, and stock prices for
certain markets fluctuation at all time lows, I would like to suggest an
alternative option for business growth and development. Cryptocurecy has
been around for almost a decade now, andn te market, and lucartive one at
most, this market may be beneficial for the long run. This new platform
opens up a whole new dimension to marketing itself, and may even become
more valuable than the dollar.

I understand that your company has withheld ages of financial
growth and stability since the market crash of 2008, however I believe
that with this new alternative, with cryptocurrency, the company will be
able to gain a competitive advantage within the digiital world in which we
live in today. As technology expands, it is important for a company to
follow suite, companies that have failed to comprehend the important for
a company to follow suite, companies that have failed to comprehend the
importance of this fact hace been varying from giant companies, and local
businesses.

Business and corporations that have failed to venture and take
risks into adcanving into the digital world have either fallen to
comptetion, or have become lost over time. Even giants within the market
have fallen, for not advancing with the time. As David Usborne, business
analyst and journalist for The Independent, puts it, "Even before film
began to fade, other manufacturers, notably Fuji, were nibbling at the
company's dominance: at the 1984 Olympics it was Fuji that supplied the
offical film, after Kodak declined the opportunity.

Lakeith Smith was 15 years old when he went along with four older
frineds on a burglary spree. A neighbour called the police when the group
went into a home in Millbrook, Albama, and the responding officers
surprised the teenagers as they were coming through the front door. The
group turned and fled out the back door, and a shootout ensued. When it
was all over, 16-year-old A'Donte Washington was dead with a bullet wound
to his neck. It's never been in dispute that a Millbrook police officer
shot and killed Washington - officer-worn body cameras captured the fatal
confrontation.

A grand jury declined to charge the officer, finding that the
shooting was justified. Instead, Smith was charged and found guilty for
his friends murder. Last week, a judge sentenced him to 65 years in
prision. UNder Alabama's accomplice liability law, Smith is considered
just as culpable in Washington's death as if he had pulled the trigger
himself. "It's sad in my opinion," says Smith's defence lawyer, Jennifer
Holton. "The cause of death was the officer's action."

Albama's law is an example of so-called felony-murder laws and
they are very common throughout the US-only seven states do not have some
type of law that expands the definition of murder to include an unintenen-
tional killing in the course of committing a felong. These laws also sweep
up accomplices who, again, may not have directly caused harm, but were
still a party in the felony that preceded the death. While rooted in
English common law, felony-murder is a rare concept outside of the US.

My journey in this universe started in a small village in Duhabi, Sunsari,

Not a lot comes to my memory from the time I spent in Duhabi but from what I
can remember, I lived an exuberant life. We had a large family comprising of 10
people; sothere was always something going on.I lived in Duhabi till I was six
years old before I moved to Biratnagar.

Biratnagar was more urban than Duhabi. The reason we moved to Biratnagar was to
enroll me in a better schooling system. We settled in at biratnagar pretty
smoothly becasue I had a lot of extended family in the city. Duhabi and
Biratnagar is separated by 50 miles, therefore the interest among the children
were very much the same which was great for me. I spent 4 years in Biratnagar
before I moved toKathmandu; the capital of Nepal.

Kathmandu was a completely different animal compared to Duhabi and Biratnagar.
It was fast paced metropolitan city hosting more than a million people. My
parents enrolled me to an English speaking school. I had to face the challange
of trying to learn a third language. There were noticeable cultural difference
between Kathmandu and Nepal but it wasn't something that I couldn't get by.

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in soul
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chilliest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked crumb of me.

The character of Iron Man was created in the midst of cold war by Stan Lee.
Stan Lee is a famous comic book writer who is also behind the creation of Hulk
and Spider Man. Stan Lee created Iron man becasue he wanted to come up with a
character who represents everything everybody hates. Thus, the character of
Iron Man was estabished.

During the Cold War tensions were high. People didn't like the war at all.
Therefore Stan Lee created a character who somewhat resembles Howard Hughes.
Hughes was an American business tycoon, entreprenuer and an engineer. Hughes
lived a luxurious life and stayrd at hotels in in Las Begas during the last
10 years of his life.

Parallelly, in the world of Iron Man, a rich billionaire, Tony Stark created a
suit to help himself escape after being captured by Wong-Chu. He used the suit
for personal security afterwards. Later down the years, he realized the harm
his company, Stark companies had done by selling ammunations. Thus, he
abandoned ammunations production in favor of electronics and computer
engineering.

Is a constitutive element for all modern societies in two respects,
namely, in an economical-structural and in an ethical-moral sense.
Enlightened liberalism secularized and integrated
the Christian masochism of suffering. The Protestant work ethic thus
found its place. After the end of state socialism, capitalism has turned
the well known. Marxist metaphor of the undertaker into its opposite and
integrated it
into its own ideological repertoire. But, in claiming to bury the Marxian
Theory once again, the official academic sciences certainly have the
wrong body. Marx’s work represents, according to its actual meaning, a
negative theory of breakdown rather than a positive theory of "socialist
development, " though it had been exploited for the legitimation by the
bureaucratic dictatorships of state socialism. Hence, the Marxian logical
and analytical framework is the theoretical projection of capitalism and
its development up to its mature future state of crisis.

File2:

Ideological instrumental use, in the service of a catch-up modernization of
the capitalistically lagging periphery of the world market, has obscured
this theoretical core entirely. Of course, this was not merely a matter of
error within theory, but it reflected the course of real history: the
characteristic of the twentieth century was indeed not the substantial
crisis of the capitalist mode of production, but the crises of the
historical unevenness which followed from the global disparity in
capital-power and productivity within the system itself.

File3:

It was, so to speak, the right of the historical laggards to use an
oversimplified and crumbled Marx as a legitimating carrier of ideology in
order to be able to eventually figure as independent participants in the
bourgeois universe of the world market, capable of satisfying the
consumption demands of their population. But this attempt inevitably was
doomed to failure because of the criteria within the logic of the system,
despite the widespread belief that it could be tamed through negotiation
by the state.

The bottom layer of the material, described April 3 at the Materials
Research Society spring meeting, features carbon nanotube pores embedded within
a flexible synethetic polymer film. These pores are just a few nanometers
across -- too small for bacterial or viral cells to squeeze through, but
wide enough for sweat to escape.

The top layers offers further protection. It is made of another,
spongy polymer that normally allows water and other molecules to pass
through. But when the polymer comes into contact with G-series nerve
agents -- the family of toxic chemicals that includes sarin gas --
it flattens into a dense sheet that seals over the carbon nanopores
underneath. The polymer can be restored to its orginal state by soaking it
in a high-pH chemical broth.

Both layers are still less than half the thickness of a sheet of
paper, and could be laid over fabrics without putting the wearer at risk
of overheating. Thats an improvement over the typical protective gear
that's permanently sealed against contaminants, said study coauthor Francesco
, a chemical engineer.

When you've got leverage, don't be afraid to use it. That's been
Google's modus operandi in the news and publishing world over the last
year or so it has pushed its AMP platform, funding various news-related
ventures that may put it ahead, and nourished its personalized Chrome tabs
on mobile. The latter, as Nieman Labs notes, grew 2,100 percent in 2017.

You may have noticed, since Chrome is a popular mobile browser and
this setting is on by default, but the "Articles for You" appear
automatically in every new tab, showing you a bunch of articles the company
thinks you'd like. And it's gone from driving 15 million article views to
a stagering 341 million over the last year.

In late 2016, when Google announced the product, I described it as
"polluting" the otherwise useful tab page. I also don't like the idea of
being served news when I'm not actively looking for it -- I understand
that when I visit Google News (and I do) that my browser history
(among other things) is being scoured to determine which categories and
stories I'll see. I also understand that everything I do on the site, as
on every Google site, is being entered into its great data engine in order
to improve its profile of me.

Red flags and "disputed" tags just entreched people's views about
suspicious news articles, so Facebook is hoping to give readers a wide
array of info so they can make their own decisions about what's
misinformation. Facebook will try showing links to a journalist's
Wikipedia entry, other articles, and a follow button to help users make up
their mind about whether they're a legitimate source of news. The test
will show up to a subset of users in the U.S. when users click on the
author's name within an Instant Article if the author's publisher has
implemented Facebook's author tags.

Meanwhile, Facebook is rolling out to everyone in the U.S. its
test from October that gives readers more context about publications by
showing links to their Wikipedia pages, related articles about the same
topic, how many times the article has been shared and where, and a button
for following the publisher within an "About This Article" button.
Facebook will also start to show whether friends have shared the article,
a snapshot of the publisher's other recent articles.

These moves are designed to feel politically neutral to prevent
Facebook from being accused of bias. After former contractors reported
that they suppressed conservative Trending topics on Facebook in 2016,
Facebook took a lot of heat for supposed liberal bias. That caused it to
hesitate when fighting fake news before the 2016 Presidential selection...
and then spend the next two years dealing with the backlash for allowing
misinformation to run rampant.

File1:

Investors are piling into AMD shares and selling Intel stock after major
chip security vulnerabilities were revealed earlier this week, and it
totally makes sense.
Enterprises will likely diversify their chip security architecture risk for
mission-critical applications by buying more AMD server chips. The
company's "architecture differences" have proven immune to the more
problematic one of the two disclosed vulnerabilities.
British tech website The Register reported Tuesday that some Intel
processors have a "fundamental design flaw" and security issue, which
spurred the company to confirm the problem later in the day.
AMD shares are up 10.4 percent in the two days through Thursday following
the report, while Intel's stock declined 5.2 percent in the period, wiping
out $11.3 billion of shareholder value.

File2:

Security researchers have found serious vulnerabilities in chips made by
Intel and other companies that, if exploited, could leave passwords and
other sensitive data exposed.
"Several researchers, including a member of Google's Project Zero team,
found that a design technique used in chips from Intel, Arm and others
could allow hackers to access data from the memory on your device. The
problem impacts processors going back more than two decades and could let
hackers access passwords, encryption keys or sensitive information open in
applications," according to CNET.
The discovery comes shortly after the chipmaker said it was working on a
patch.
In a statement released Wednesday, Intel acknowledged the problem, saying
that it is "working closely with many other technology companies, including
AMD, ARM Holdings and several operating system vendors, to develop an
industry-wide approach to resolve this issue promptly and constructively.
Intel has begun providing software and firmware updates to mitigate these
exploits."

File3:

AMD launched the lawsuit against its rival Intel, the world's leading
microprocessor manufacturer. AMD has claimed that Intel engaged in unfair
competition by offering rebates to Japanese PC manufacturers who agreed to
eliminate or limit purchases of microprocessors made by AMD or a smaller
manufacturer, Transmeta.[1]
The complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the
District of Delaware in June 2005. In 2005, the Japan Fair Trade Commission
issued Intel a cease and desist order.[2] The court date, originally
scheduled for April 2009, was pushed back to February 2010. On June 4,
2008, Korea Fair Trade Commission fined Intel US$25.4 million for giving
Samsung rebates to not use AMD processors.[3] Some of the manufacturers
involved in the case were Dell, HP, Gateway, Acer, Fujitsu, Sony, Toshiba,
and Hitachi.[4][5] In July 2007, U.S. District Judge Joseph James Farnan
Jr. largely denied Intel's motion to dismiss.[6]

I also have 2 moniters one 4k moitor as my main dislay and 1 1080p monitor from

that I was strictly playing on consoles. My first gaming PC had 16gb of DDR4
ram, a GTX Geforce 1060 and an Intel i5 6600. It was a solid machine it would
play most games at 60 frames per second, if it was an intensive game it would
drop to 30. I love gaming on a computer once I built this machine. I couldn't
imagine my life without a gaming computer now. I used to think computer gaming
was hard, had a giant learning curve and was not going to be fun, but I have
a blast. Gaming on a computer opens up another world of gaming possiblities.
There are indie games, and games that aren't available on consoles.

Another aspect of my gaming setup is that now that I have a monster gaming PC
capable of anything I throw at it so far is that I have a HTC Vive virtual
reality headset.
Before getting this VR headset I had never experienced virtual reality.
The first time I put the headset on I was in love. Playing virtual
reailty is like nothing I never experienced it's like going into an alternate
universe. Virtual reality is one of the best gaming experiences I have. I love
getting new games or experiences to try. Right now I have experienced games
such as Fallout 4, LA Niore, and Skyrim in virtual reality. I look forward to
the future of video games and virtual reality.

By its cofounder's reckoning, Efinix is in the right place
at the right time. Engineers are struggling to squeeze AI,
and especially its deep learning variant, into chips where
cost and power are real constraints.

The startup, based in Santa Clara. Calif., plans to deliver
a new kind of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology
that is about one-quarter the size of comparable chips,
consumes half the power, and is considerably less complex
to construct. That combination-- what Efinix calls Quantum
programmable technology -- could help push deep learning and
AI in general away from central computers and servers and out
toward where the data they work on is being generated, according
to cofounder, president, and CEO Sammy Cheung.

FPGA's having been using the same basic architecture for decades.
From a highlevel, it looks like a checkerboard, with alternating
sections that are dedicated to either routing or logic. Cheung
and cofounder, FPGA-expert Tony Ngai, dedicated function,
each square-- called an eXchangeable Logic and Routing cell
(XLR)- can be programmed to perform either purpose.

Before you mar your nice wooden door with a touchpad controlled

Led by Yingying Chen, a professor of electrical and computer
engineering at Rutgers, they created a biometric access system,
called VibWrite, that should work on any solid surface -- no
touchpad or fingerprint sensor required. The system reads the
change that finger pressure and motions make in the vibrations
on say a door or a tabletop or, Chen expects, any other solid
object.

When tested on a wood door and a wood table VibWrite verified
identities with greater that 95 percent accuracy and with a
false-positive rate of less than 3 percent. Chen delivered the
details of the technology this week at the ACM Converence on
Computer and Communications Security, in Dallas, Tex.

Cell Phone coverage is the most important part of getting a good
cell phone plan. Currently Verion offers the most network coverage
across the United States as a whole.Verizon, At&t, and t-mobile
are the top 3 providers in the country. Depending on a persons
location, it depends on which carrier you prefer.

A cursory glance at the coverage maps of the United states shows
Verizon blaketing the most geographical area, with AT&T not far
off. However, this isn't necessarily the best metric to use when
deciding on a carrier, unless you do a ton of traveling to disparate
parts of the county.

Another thing to keep in mind: When a carriers claim a certain
percantage of coverage through the united States says, 98% they're
usually referring to their coverage of where people live. They're
not claiming, 98% coverage of the country's actual geographic area.

Topic: Software As A Service: An Inside Look
3rd line: I. Introduction

First Line of Reference section:

Files

File1:

The initial mode of distribution for software applications was geared
towards the single purchase of the software by customers whom would maintain
it on-premise. The developer(s) created the software and sold it to
customers and/or distributors whom would then sell it to end users. If the
developer(s) fixed issues and/or added new features, then the user had to
purchase the newer version of the software. Today, businesses are aiming
towards technological solutions that are budget-friendly, scalable,
flexible, and readily accessible. According to Tech Target, "Software as a
service is a software distribution model in which a third-party provider
hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the internet."
Customers or end users will gain access to the software application through
the form of a paid subscription which eliminates the need to run applications
in their own data centers or on their own computers. Cloud computing has
three main main categories which are software as a servic (SaaS), platform
as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

In terms of economic feasibility, a SaaS-based cloud solution should
always be considered while conducting an analysis. According to The SaaS
Report, industry research shows the total cost of ownership for an
on-premise system will be more than double that of a SaaS-based cloud
solution. This is compiled from the cost of over 4 years for 100 users.
The average on-premise total cost of ownership was $1,400,570 compared to
$697,656 for a cloud-based solution.

The software as a service market segment of the cloud computing market
has seen extreme growth over the years. In 2008, the market was worth 5.56
billion U.S. dollars worldwide. Ten years later, in 2018, the market is
predicted to be worth around 116.39 billion U.S. dollars worldwide.
Although growth has slowed since its inception, the market is expected to
see more growth in the upcoming years. In 2020, the market is predicted to
be worth 136 billion U.S. dollars worldwide. That growth is due to the
convenience and scalability of this software distribution model being
appealing to investors. According to The SaaS Report, "helping to fuel the
industry's growth is a wide range of investors including venture capital,
growth equity, private equity, asset managers, hedge funds as well as
individual investors among others."

File2:

According to ZDNet.com, "The SaaS segment holds nearly 69 percent of
overall public cloud market share, but its year-over-year growth rate of
22.9 percent is the slowest of three primary segments." In 2017, Forbes
listed Microsoft, Amazon, and IBM as the top three overall cloud computing
companies in the market. However, in the software as a service segment,
the top three companies are Salesforce, Workday, and ServiceNow.

Salesforce, a provider of customer relations management tools to
businesses, has a market cap of $69 billion USD since its initial product
offering in 2004. Workday, a provider of financial and human capital
management solutions to businesses, has a market cap of$22 billion USD
since its initial product offering in 2012. ServiceNow, a provider of IT
management solutions to businesses, has a market cap of $20 billion USD
since its initial product offering in 2012.

I would like to note that Microsoft is growing fast in this market
since ots release of Office 365, a part of their "commercial cloud."
Microsoft's Commercial Cloud recently passed the $20 billion USD milestone,
but it is not purely software as a service. Adobe is also growing fast in
this market with their creation of Adobe Creative Cloud which includes
graphics design, video editing, and more.

File3:

Everything in life has a benefit and a concern or risk. This is especially
true for technological solutions. The benefits to implementing a SaaS
solution are cost savings, scalability, accessibility, upgradeability, and
resilience. The SaaS associated risks have yet to be completely mitigated
and are reasons why many individuals and/or businesses have yet to fully
convert. The risks or cons associated with implementing a SaaS solution
are security, outages, compliance, performance, data mobility, and
integration.

Cost savings come from no longer having the expense of an on-premise
infrastructure solution which requires installing, upgrading, and maintaining.
Scalability is very import because to any business because as the business
needs and functionalities grow, the involved technology must grow as well.
On-premise technology may involve purchasing more software and hardware.
In contrast, a SaaS-based cloud solution would only require the business
to upgrade their subscriptions. Accessibility comes in the form of the
ability to access the internet. A browser and an internet connection are
necessary for any SaaS application. This can easily be made available on
a large variety of devices and desktops. Upgradeability is easier because
updates are handled by the cloud service provider. This significantly
reduces the workload on an organization's IT department and allows them
to allocate those resources elsewhere. Resilience is a benefit because the
data and infrastructure are stored off-site. If some sort of disaster were
to affect the physical location of the business, then all you need is a
computer or device with an internet connection to resume business activities.

The major reason why some are hesitant to implement a SaaS solution
is because of security concerns. Businesses aren't completely comfortable with
data being stored off-premise. They want to ensure that only qualified and
highly identified individuals are accessing the data and business processes
through the entrusted third party. Outages range from human error to acts
of God and are not always avoidable. This poses a concern because down time
is both crucial and irritating for any business especially if it's for a
long duration. It's wise to analyze the cloud service provider's history of
outages and service level agreements in order to make a more informed
decision on which provider youwould like to pursue. Performance is based on
the user's internet connectivity. Applications hosted in a remote data center
and accessed through the internet are a concern for businesses. If the
connection is slow, thwn applications may not run as efficient as an
application that is stored on a local computer and/or accessed through a
local area network. Data mobility is important in the event of needing to
change cloud service providers or if your cloud service provider goes under.
There are may startups that often go under in this market. To mitigate this
risk, the business must carefully plan an exit strategy to maintain its
valuable data and business processes. Integration is a concern because
businesses often use, or would like to use, many SaaS applications in
combination with on-premise software and hardware. There are integration as
a service solutions such as Boomi, CloudSwitch, and Informatica that aim to
help mitigate this risk

Hey, My name is Philip Tiamson and I just wanted to share a little about me,
I was born in Fairfax, VA and am 94% Filipino, 4% Spanish, and 2% Chinese.
I would like to say that I'm an introvert, but many people would say otherwise,
as when I'm in a comfortable environment, a wild and fun side of me opens up.
I played baseball all my life and was about to go to a D1 school to play, but
the only offer that I had left after my surgery was from a school in Texas and
boy do I hate the heat.
I was obese when I was in elementary school and most of my friends would
make fun of how slow and lathargic I was. I took all that hatred and decided
to change my life by exercising hard. I slowly but surely lost weight and even
became one of the most fit in my class by senior year. I had a 5:21 mile time,
power cleaned 200, and set a record for box jumps in a minute. Since then
I have taken on olympic weightlifting. This requires much technique, skill,
and dedication, which made me think of the good ole' days of playing baseball.

My Monday by LJ Williams
Well I start off my day waking up to my alarm 9am sharp. First thing I
do when I wake up is check my messages, check my twitter, instagram, and
my snapchat. After all that is done I think about everything there is that
I am suppose to do for the day. After I conceptualized all my thoughts I
get up out of bed and hop in the shower; I never shower with out my music
so it's only natural that I put my morning shower playist on to get the
day started right. Once I get out the shower I brush my teeth and get my
hair looking right. That's quite a process but once that's complete I make
myself some breakfast. Three egg whites twoo eggs a bowl of oatmeal and
toast. About after the time I finish breakfast it's time for work at the
best place on earth which is the YMCA. At the YMCA I work at the front
desk anyone who come there can expect smiles and great service while I'm
on the clock. Once I'm off work I go to my apartment grab my bookbag and
get ready for my 5:30 Business Statistics class, and can I say how much I
enjoy my professor's magic tricks they are such a delight. I wish all my
professors new magic tricks. When the time for class has come to an end I
usally go back to my apartment and get ready to go to the gym. While at
the gym I hit the big weights because monday is international chest day so
you know your boy has to embarass all the small kids. That was just a joke.
After my gain session in the gym I go home cook my self dinner, watch some
of my favorite shows do any homework I have for the day and then go bed. I
hope you enjoyed My Monday as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Life is short by LJ Williams
Life is short in the blink of an eye you will be old.
It is important that while you are on earth that you do things
that bring enjoyment to your life. There is no point living a life
of misery and pain because life is just too short. If you're not happy with
school or your job then just stop everything you're doing and just take a
second to self reflect what it is that will bring some real whoelsome
enjoyment to your life. After you've done that just go, go and do what you
have always told yourself that you wanted to do visit the places places
you've always wanted to see. I know they say money can't make you happy
and that's true money can fill a void and seem like it is happiness but in
reality it isn't. And I know some of you are saying well what if I want to
travel the world but I don't have money? Well that's a good question, and
my answer to that question is where there is a will there is a way, don't
continue living a repressed life in solitude free your self from your
shackles and like a butterfly in a caccoon be free. Free to do as you
please; free to do things on your own time and not on the time that others
tell you to do so. Rome wasn't built in a day and I sure don't expect you
to find what makes you happy in a day. But like a detective go searching
until you find what it is that you are looking for. And when you find what
is is that truly makes you happy you will know, no one will have to tell
you. You'll just get that feeling where time has stopped and you won't
have a worry in the world and at that exact moment you will have found
true happiness. I honestly have no clue what I'm talking about but go
rams! Go hokies! Go Clevland Cavaliers! Go Boston Red Sox! I would also
like to take this time to anyone reading this to thank my mom it may not
seem like she did much bust she raised the GOAT.

Permissions and other Specs

Part 1 -- Learn vi and Post your Topic

Before making Outlines and web directories, find a vim tutorial you like and get comfortable using it.

Then, use vi to edit files in your home directory named File1, File2, and File3, each with at least three well-formatted paragraphs from a text, novel, article or your own poetry, prose, or blog. Make each line of text a max of 75 characters wide. Set the permissions for each of these files to 600, readable by only yourself and root.

Make a directory named Outlines in your home directory and edit the topic for your brief on the 1st line of a file named Brief1 in the Outlines directory. Nothing else is required in the file for Part 1 but line 2 should be left empty if there is. The file should be 'plain text', with no HTML.

Set the permissions on the Outlines directory to 700 and the file Brief1 to 600. Check the progress page to make sure Outlines and Brief1 are in the right place with the right permissions. The progress page is updated one second past every minute. Enter 'date' at the command line to check the time.

Part 2 -- Posting Your Outline and References

Part 2 of the project is to find references for your brief, organize them, make an outline for the brief, and use vi to key the outline and references into the file Brief1.

Brief1 should be a plain-text file, should not have any html, will only be read by you and the instructor. It should be organized by indenting to show the 'levels of the outline'.

When you've completed the research, edit the file Brief1 and add a nicely indented outline for your tech market brief, starting in line 3, leaving the 2nd line empty. Single-space between each entry in the outline, leaving no 'blank line' between the lines of your outline. Use spaces to make indentations to structure the outline. After the single-spaced outline, double-space to leave an empty line and list your references. If you have done this properly, your feedback below will show your topic, the first entry in your outline, and the first reference in your list.

Part 3 -- Making the 3-page website:

Please find and comply with all the specs posted on the class' page and mentioned in class for the HOL/Tech Brief project. Make a valid skeleton of your website first, then pitch your brief in standards-compliant html and css.

Please complete these little tasks at the linux command line without desktop editors! Steps, without FileZilla or WinSCP, at the command line:

  • Make a directory named 'web', all lower case, with no apostrophes, in your home directory if you haven't already done it. Set it's permissions to rwx-----x so you have full access to it and httpd can include it in a path.
  • Use vi to create and edit index.html in your web directory. Verify that it shows up as index.html in your progress report below.
  • Use vi to edit a file named Brief1.html in your web directory. Your Brief1.html will hold the web version of your technical market brief.
  • Set the permissions of any web pages, css, graphics, or other files in the web directory to 604 rw----r--. If there are subdirectories, set them to rwx---r-x.

Grading:

Get any questions answered in class, not in email. Snapshots of this page, the contents of your home directory, and your history at the command line will be taken after the deadline and used to score the timeliness and quality of each component at the time it was due.
