File1:

This past weekend, I went on a run with my friend Justin.
We went on a run to Belle Isle, it was my first time there.
It was pretty fun although it was very hot and I don't do well
in the heat. I started feeling sick on the way back and as were leaving,
I fainted briefly and this caused me to slip and roll my ankle.

People came rushing over which made me feel a little embarrassed.
I managed to hobble back up the trail and I sat there as another friend
drove to come pick us up. I ended up going home and missing class and
then started having mouth pains. I ended up having to go to the dentist.
As it turns out, I have to get my wisdom teeth removed. Yayy.

All in all, it was a crazy week last week. Last Wednesay was also
my birthday. I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner which was
great. I got to spend time with family and my dog Khloe. I was hoping
to get my first tattoo but now I'll have to push it back until I get
my wisdom teeth removed. Sheesh.

File2:

My favorite TV show is Criminal Minds. Ever since I was young, I was
always into crime shows. I used to watch Law and Order, NCIS and First 48
growing up which my mom thought was weird but she allowed me to watch
them anyway. Being closely monitored that is. Even though this show has
been running since 2005, I just found out about it last year over Winter
Break.

I like Criminal Minds mostly for the characters. It is sad considering
a few of the original characters are no longer with the show but the new
characters are still pretty amazing. They all have their own personal
stories which tie into the show. They are a part of the FBI's sub unit
called the BAU or the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Their job is to profile
the unsubs or unknown subjects who are usually serial killers to catch
them.

This show has furthered my love for Criminal Justice and Forensic Science.
I'd like to believe that if I were to pick another career field, I think
that I would have picked a job working for the FBI as an Profiler. Then
again, I'm not so sure if I would be able to handle all the mentally
gruesome things they see everyday. It can be a real stressor on both you
individually as well as your family.

File3:

Curtains forcing their will
against the wind,
children sleep,
exchanging dreams with
seraphim. The city
drags itself awake on
subway straps; and
I, an alarm, awake as a
rumor of war
lie stretching into dawn
unasked and unheeded.

Maya Angelou "Awakening In New York"

The rose is a rose
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose -
But were always a rose.

Robert Frost "The Rose Family"

Simple Same was a simple man.
He lived each day by a simple plan.
Enjoy your life and live while you can.
Make each day count and take a stand.

Stand on the left or stand on the right,
Whichever one you think is right.
Live each day as if your last.
Life's too short and gone too fast.

Irwin Mercer "A Simple Plan"
