File1, 2, & 3 for kbrownlee:

One of my favorite shows right now on television is Criminal Minds on CBS.
For those who don't know, it's basically a show about a team of profilers
that are a part of the FBI's BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit). The team
uses behavioral science to get into the minds of serial killers and catch

Not all of the characters are still around as their have been many changes
since the shows first aired episode in 2005. It's funny that the show has
been on so long but I only recently heard of it last year. It immediately
caught my interest as I have always loved crime shows and things of that

The characters who are currently still around as well as the new
characters are all spectacular. However, my favorite character is that of
Dr. Spencer Reid portrayed by Matthew Gray Gubler. His character is
essentially a genius with a lot of awkward quirks which makes him near
impossoble to hate in my opnion. The actor who portrays him, Matthew,
is also just a funny/weird guy in general and is easily my favorite

I'd like to think that if I didn't choose Information Systems as my major
that I would have gone into something dealing with the arts. Though I
doubt I possess any acting talent, I've been told that I'm a pretty good
writer. I've always liked writing poetry but mostly stories that pop into
my head at random hours of the day. Who knows, maybe I can do both?
Either way, here's two paragraphs from a new story I'm writing about
an adventure-apocalyptic world through the eyes of a thirteen year old

"Much of the equipment was busted and broken
and the once bright blue paint had dulled to
something miserable. I tried the sink, hoping
maybe some water would find its way through.
Disappointingly, though not surprisingly, I was
granted with only a single drip of water that no
sooner than it fell, scurried down the drain out
of reach."

"I hope that time hasn't been too cruel to you. I
hope that you never come to know the loss that I
have and that you never have to dirty your hands
with the blood of someone you love. If you have
opened this safe then that means its contents were
meant for you." These paragraphs aren't in sequence
but you get the idea.

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sand of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
